I came upon this scene and was amused by the space that each turtle and duck gave to it's neighbor on the log. When another duck or turtle climbed onto the log they would all shift positions to accommodate the newcomer! Six Ruddy Ducks and seven Western Painted Turtles all evenly spaced out on a log was worthy of capturing in a photograph!
