In early September of 2015, I spent 10 days in Kauai, the Northernmost Island in the Hawaiian island chain. Three major hurricanes had just passed to the north causing complex wave patterns that were spectacular in their size, speed and frequency. I took over 1,000 pictures and have some great reference photos that capture the drama of stormy skies and spotlighted waves breaking and curling as they raced towards the shore. Note the four story building high on the cliff.
