Artist's Description

I have many fond memories of cross country skiing in Vermont. Right from my home there were hundreds of miles of trails cutting through the wilderness that were used by skiers, snow-shoers and other winter travelers. Skiing through stands of yellow birches was especially memorable as the warm colors of the birches complimented the cool blues in the snow.

This painting measures only 6 x 12 inches and is full of detail giving the illusion that the painting is actually much larger than it actually is. This painting is one of a series of works that capture my fond memories of 25 Vermont Winters when I cross country skied through snowy landscapes.
